I did quite a few liver cleanses a few years ago, but was a bit denferift to what you did. I think it might be a lot easier for people who have difficulty sticling at a diet for an extended period of time. It basically involves not eating after 1pm and then taking epsom salts at 6pm and 9m. You then make a drink of olive oil or flaz oil and grapefruit juice. You drink this at 10pm and lie down in bed right away (not 2 mins later). In the morning when you wake up you take epsom salts again. This flushes out the liver and gallbladder and is a super cleanse. Of course, check with your healthcare person first, as you may have particular problems that make any cleanse unsuitable. But this can be repeated every few weeks until your liver is very clean. I much prefer this method to sticking to a specific diet. But it has to be said that you will get much better results if you stick to foods that are liver-friendly in the weeks inbetween, and avoid foods that harm the liver, including alcohol.
